The Alberta Weekly Newspapers Association and ProTraining.com™ launch an online training portal

The Alberta Weekly Newspapers Association and ProTraining.comTM launch an online training portal for member newspapers.

Edmonton, Alberta - May 4, 2007 - ProTraining.comTM, an industry leader in online training, testing and certification services, and the Alberta Weekly Newspapers Association (AWNA), a member based organization of 113 community and weekly newspapers, have launched an online training system for AWNA members.

"By launching our training site" commented Dennis Merrell, Executive Director of the AWNA, "our member newspapers, and their staff, will be able to access first rate training content, from an easy to use online platform. On top of that, each member newspaper will have their own secure, private access to staff learning histories and reporting."

The AWNA Online Training Center has launched with an innovative online course for new ad sales representatives, titled AWNA Sales 101: Introduction to Community Newspaper Advertising Sales. This course has been authored by Bob McInnis of McInnis and Associates, who has specialized in Ad Sales training for over 20 years. Mr. McInnis has delivered his training to over 400 newspapers Worldwide, including many of the top 100 North American daily newspapers.

"By using our online training application, the T2 PlatformTM, the AWNA will benefit from a completely hosted and managed online training solution, however highly customized to suit the specific branding and feature requirements of the AWNA." commented Chris LaBossiere, Co-Founder and Manager of Business Development for ProTraining.comTM.

"Our system is a perfect fit for most Associations looking to provide greater service to their members. The T2 PlatformTM, as opposed to most Learning Management Systems, has been designed with the member based association in mind. Not only does the customer have full administrative access to all of the platform features, there is a separate area of the software that allows each member or chapter to login and manage users or view activity reports." adds LaBossiere. "Also, our fully hosted and managed service takes a lot of the deployment and ongoing pressure off an organization to maintain their program." Since 2004, over 175,000 unique users have accessed training and testing from the ProTraining T2 PlatformTM through various corporate, association and e-commerce enabled websites designed and hosted by ProTraining.comTM.
