Leading Edge Technology Inc. Wins Grand Prize in the Alberta VenturePrize Competition

VenturePrize is an Alberta wide business competition, which is sponsored by the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), and is a program of TEC Edmonton. Competing in the Fast Growth Enterprise category, Leading Edge Technologies Inc. was selected as one of six semi-finalists after a review of their current business plan by the VenturePrize selection committee. On February 24, 2006, all six semi-finalists gave a business presentation and were further subject to insightful questions from a panel of judges, made up of business and financing professionals. From those six competitors, three finalists were selected.
As a finalist, Leading Edge Technology Inc. presented a 60-second 'elevator pitch' to over 1200 attendees at the EEDC Annual Luncheon on March 22, 2006. This was combined with a 3-minute video that was shown about each company. During the luncheon, the panel of judges named Leading Edge Technology as the VenturePrize winner.
